You love the abandoned road,
It is your smooth mellow abode.
The feel when you crank your engine, and floor the gas,
in a matter of seconds your going so fast.
The deep, loud roar of the engine fills your ears,
with the crystal wind blowing as your head slowly clears.
The transparent windows all rolled down,
as you inhale the fresh incense of the glorious sundown.
The peaceful, never ending drive that you adore,
taking you farther and farther away from your personal war.
It's your road trip, it's your drive, its your race out of reality.

I saw a saviour,
a saviour come my way.
I thought I'd see it,
at the cold light of day.
But now I realise that I'm only for me,
if only I could see,
you turn myself to me.
And recognise the poison in my heart.
There is no other place,
no one else I face.
Remedy,

we'll agree,
is how I feel,
here in my reflecting.
What more can I say?
For I am guilty,
for the voice that I obey.
Too scared to sacrifice a choice chosen for me,
if only I could see,
you turn myself to me.
Recognize the poison in my heart.
There is no other place
no one else I face.

The remedy,
to agree,
is how I feel.
